They live in houses, apartments, and manufactured homes in Ypsilanti, Denton, Belleville, Ann Arbor, Milan, Saline, Willis, Brighton, Dexter, Chelsea, Whitmore Lake, Superior Township, Van Buren Township, Ypsilanti Township, in Arizona, Florida, Illinois, Kentucky, Utah, Virginia, and Hawaii. Sunday Worship, Christian education for all ages, and Bible study are the heart of Emmanuel's life. They are the sign of God With Us through Word and Sacraments. Through them, God the Holy Spirit keeps us in the one true faith and directs us in the service of our Lord Jesus Christ. The Chancel Choir, soloists and small groups lead the church in praise and thanksgiving to God. Our Youth, ELCW Circles, Retired Mens Group, and Boy Scout Troop 290 serve the church and others in many ways. The Clothes Closet, Food Pantry, and Ypsilanti Hunger Coalition dinners continue our Lord's concern and care for those in need, and Emmanuel members who serve those needs do so in a spirit of kindness and compassion that lends dignity to those served. |
