Sunday School

Emmanuel's Education Hour is on Sunday between 9:30 and 10:30am, and is held in the months of September thru May.

Sunday School begins with an opening in the sanctuary from 9:30 until about 9:45am. Parents are encouraged to stay with their children during the opening. The opening includes an introduction to the day’s lesson, offering, announcements, singing and prayer.

Then, the children follow their teachers to their classroom to continue the lesson of the day. Children are dismissed from their classrooms at 10:30am.

Everyone ages 3 through 8th grade is welcome to register for Sunday School. You do not have to be a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church to attend our Sunday School program. Visitors are always welcome!

If you have any questions or would like more information about our program, contact Pam Willoughby or Jacqui Slebodnick (Sunday School co-Superintendents), or ccontact the church office @ (734)482-7121. We encourage you all to join us, have some fun and help educate the youth of our congregation in God's Love.

People were bringing even infants to him that he might
touch them; and when the disciples saw it, they sternly
ordered them not to do it. But Jesus called for them and said,
‘Let the little children come to me, and do not stop them;
for it is to such as these that the kingdom of God belongs.
Truly I tell you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God
as a little child will never enter it.’

Luke 18:15-17 NRSV
