Sometimes members of Emmanuel would like to find ways to become more involved with the life of the congregation, but are not sure what is needed. There are many opportunities for service both in the Standing Committees, which are defined by the congregation's constitution and by-laws, and in many other more informal groups. Church Council & Standing Committees oversee the many facets our congregation's life. A brief overview is given after each name; click the committee name for a more detailed explanation of their function: Christian Education -- provides educational opportunities to grow in Christian faith. Evangelism -- responsible for evangelism programs of the congregation Executive -- church officers; coordinate overall operations of the congregation Finance -- oversees the congregation's financial resources Membership -- oversees maintenance of the congregation's membership rolls.
